HG120WP AS ADDITIVE TO Concrete HARDENER H35:
Dilute Concrete Hardener H35 with water in the respective ratio of 1: 2. Shake HG120WP before use and add it under mixing in the measure of 10% to the diluted “Concrete Hardener H35” silicate.
HG120WP AS ADDITIVE TO Concrete HARDENER LITHIUM:
Shake before use and add it to the Concrete Hardener Lithium while mixing, in the measure of 10%.
PROPERTIES OF MODIFIED HARDENER H10-H35-LITHIUM Concrete:
By adding HG120WP to the Concrete Hardener, you get a permanent, water-based, transparent and odorless CONSOLIDATING, HARDENING, WATER-REPELLENT protective for concrete and cement-based surfaces in general.
This particular molecule, penetrating into the support, chemically reacts to form a transpiring seal of the capillaries, making the cement structure harder, more resistant to wear, less absorbent to liquids, water repellent, ultimately brings the support to its maximum useful life.
The concrete improves considerably, both in terms of appearance and technical characteristics, by means of the surface treatment with MODIFIED Concrete HARDENER. This penetrates into the porosities of the cement, chemically reacts with the Ca (OH) 2 present therein, forming a calcium silicate gel (CSH).
The impregnation of the pores, in addition to improving the aesthetics, drastically reduces the permeability to water, but not to steam, increasing the surface hardness, the durability of the concrete and in particular the resistance to acid attack. By allowing moisture to escape, you avoid the risk of frost.

IMPREGNATION OF CONCRETE FLOORS, INTERIOR SURFACES, EXTERIOR CONCRETE OR CEMENT

The Concrete HARDENER penetrates into the porosity of the cement and, from the first application, completely invades all the porosities, including capillaries, reacting with the ions present in the hardened cement, forming a calcium silicate gel resistant and impervious to water and other liquids, according to the reaction: Ca ++ + SinO2n + 1> CaO ∙ SinO2n + 1. This reaction takes place inside the pores of the cement. The formed Casilicato gel obstructs porosities, making the concrete impermeable to liquids and at the same time harder, more resistant to wear, insensitive to carbonation and more resistant to the aggressive action of chlorides.
The use of the Lithium version, in contact with metals, forms monomolecular films of metal silicates, impervious to oxygen and acids and therefore acts as an anticorrosive. In order to provide maximum performance to the concrete flooring, we recommend the use of the modified Lithium version, which is able to penetrate the capillary porosities of the concrete thanks to its low viscosity and above all low surface tension and in this it is distinguished from others. similar products available on the market. Thanks to its characteristics, Concrete HARDENER LITHIUM + HG120WP penetrates deeper and allows excellent waterproofing to be achieved.

FIELDS OF USE:

Incorporated treatment for impregnation of concrete floors, internal, external, new or existing concrete or cement surfaces that need to implement EXTREMELY resistance to abrasion and hardness, impermeability to liquids, not altering their breathability, offering a stable aesthetic degree.
Particularly suitable for high density concrete.

AFTER ADDING HG120WP TO THE CONCRETE HARDENER, PROCEED AS FOLLOWS:

the surfaces suitable for receiving the treatment must be cohesive, free of dust, clean and dry, free of polluting substances that could compromise the absorption in part or in total of the product. During sanding cycles or on smooth surfaces (with a low profile of roughness), use low pressure nebulizers, spray the product and distribute it evenly with a microfibre cloth, while on surfaces with a rough profile such as brushed concrete, use industrial brushes.
After applying as a consolidant, wait 6-12 hours to continue the sanding cycle. The product must not dry before it has penetrated deeply. If the absorption of the liquid is slow, moderately humidify the treated surface with occasional sprays of water, without exaggerating so as not to excessively dilute the
impregnating solution. While, if the absorption is immediate, adjust the quantity in order to keep the product moist for at least 30 minutes.
The treatment as a densifier can be performed on freshly cast concrete, after trowelling or smoothing, 12-24-48 hours after the first application, if the treated surface is still absorbent, reapply the modified Concrete Hardener until the pores are saturated. Remove any non-absorbed liquid and let the surface dry.
After 3 days from the 1st application, you can
wet the surface with water and check its waterproofing. In very old cements the calcium present is almost all insoluble and therefore unable to generate Ca ++. In this case, a preliminary treatment with a 5% solution of calcium nitrate or calcium acetate is required.

HG120WP AS A HYDROPHOBE DIRECTLY DILUTED IN WATER:

The product is supplied in concentrated form and must be diluted with water at the time of application, to the extent that varies from 5 to 10%. If long storage times of the diluted product are expected, use distilled water.
Apply with low pressure manual sprayers (0.5 bar) on cohesive surfaces, free of dust, clean and dry, free of polluting substances that could compromise the absorption in part or total of the product. For applications on façades, in order to avoid excessive consumption and risks of toning, it is recommended to lay them when the wall is in the shade.
The effectiveness of the water-repellent treatment with diluted HG120WP will depend on the absorbency of the substrate together with the amount of product applied. The consumption of the diluted product (HG120WP diluted 10% in water) on concrete and brick substrates can vary from 0,250 to 0,500 kg / m2 (25-50 gr / m2 of HG120WP Concentrate). For consumption on stone supports, it is advisable to carry out a test to check for any toning of the mineral type).
